“We’re on a mission from God…” to teach you how to play blues solos! This is a two-part session encompassing guitar and harmonica. Part I is aimed at helping intermediate level guitar players build on rudimentary single-note improvisation that they already know. The unit can be broken into five easy lessons that show Little Kids Rock educators that teaching the full blues scale is a very easy technique when cut into short single-concept lessons rather than one big challenging unit. Part II will focus on incorporating harmonica to your Modern Band class. We'll spend time learning the difference between first position and second position (cross harp), as well as a few techniques like tremolo, tongue-blocking, and bending. Each person who signs up for this session will receive a diatonic harmonica in the key of C. By the end of this two part unit, everyone will get the chance to play guitar and harmonica solos with a live band playing the 12 bar blues.
