You ask your students who is interested in becoming the class drummer. Chances are, more than one hand will be raised, but you may not have more than one drum set. How do you keep the excitement for all of these students? Diversify your instrumentation and musical genre! This workshop will build off the last year's popular workshop, Spicing Up Your Rhythm Section: Latin Percussion. Participants will not only be able to jam with other teachers learning new skills on cajons, congas, and other auxiliary percussion, but also learn how to effectively implement them into your student-centered repertoire. We will be guiding you on how to differentiate instruction on these instruments, therefore this session is welcome to participants from very beginner to advanced playing! ¡Vaya!
