The ukulele can do anything the guitar can do! This presentation is geared towards teachers who are already comfortable with ukulele and want to learn more ways to involve this instrument in their classes. We will explore more advanced chords: barre chords, power chords, and uncommon open chords (some of which are a lot easier than they would be on guitar). Time will be spent on solos and riffs, including how to convert guitar riffs to ukulele. By the end, session participants will be familiar with common ukulele keys and chord progressions. The goal is for attendees to be able to incorporate uke in their existing Modern Band program or even run a class based on ukulele instead of guitar.
