Looking for ways to get your Modern Band students to move around during their performances? Do you want to find a way to include students who may not want to play an instrument but want to be included? "Twist and Shout!: Movement in Modern Band" will supply you with some tips and takeaways to get your students moving comfortably in no time! In this session, we will break down the different sections of the body with options for easy, exciting, and clean movement. By the end, session participants will not only have a fun movement game to take back and use with their students but they will also feel empowered to lead their Modern Band students to amp up their performance and shake things up in the classroom!

Lauren joined Little Kids Rock as the Program Assistant in February 2012. Now, as the Program Manager, Lauren works with the teacher services team to makes sure Little Kids Rock teachers have everything they need to run a rockin’ program at their school. | Lauren graduated from Rutgers University in 2011 with a Bachelor of the Arts in American Studies and Dance. During her time at Rutgers she managed the New Jersey Folk Festival and was a dancer with Insurgo Stage Project, a local Modern dance company.
