Ukuleles are a hot trend in education right now! This session will focus on how you can easily and quickly get your students playing to the songs that they know and love. We will jam along with classics and current trending songs as well as learn how to create dynamic play-along tutorials by using Little Kids Rock Materials, GarageBand, iMovie and YouTube. Jamming to songs that your students know, and exposing them to music that they don’t know is a great way to expand their listening skills and musical experiences. Utilizing play-alongs is a great way to get your whole class jamming together or even in small groups. Better yet - as they become better players - they too could create their own tutorials! Step-by-step instructions and tutorials will be shared so that you can start creating your own tutorials when you arrive home. Don’t have ukes at your school? That’s ok! The same concepts can be applied to all Modern Band instruments. Bring a uke if you have one!
